Discover the striking Jumbo Grau Fee Coturnix Quail, a distinctive colour variety admired for its sophisticated blend of smoky grey, silver, charcoal and soft cream plumage. Its beautifully contrasting feather patterns create an elegant appearance, making it a captivating addition to any specialist breeding collection.

Exceptional Genetics & Colouration

The Grau Fee combines the distinctive patterning associated with the Grau colour variety and the pigmentation-modifying effects of the recessive Fee mutation. This combination produces beautifully muted tones and intricate feather contrasts.

Developing consistent Grau Fee colouration alongside desirable Jumbo body characteristics requires careful genetic selection, making these birds particularly appealing to specialist breeders and enthusiasts.

Why Choose Our Jumbo Grau Fee Quails?

• Distinctive Colouration: Elegant silver-grey, charcoal and cream plumage with beautifully contrasting feather patterns.

• Exceptional Egg Layers: Productive hens capable of laying approximately 250–300 eggs annually under optimal conditions.

• Extended Productivity: With proper nutrition and care, hens may remain productive for approximately two years, although laying rates naturally decline with age.

• Not Feather Sexable at 3 Weeks: Unlike certain other Coturnix varieties, Grau Fee quails cannot be reliably sexed by feather patterns at three weeks of age. Accurate sex identification generally requires waiting for physical maturity and assessing sex-specific characteristics.

• Wonderful Companion Birds: Their compact size, engaging personalities and attractive appearance make them delightful pets for poultry enthusiasts.

• Jumbo Body Conformation: Selectively bred for larger body size while maintaining their distinctive ornamental characteristics.

• Premium Breeding Potential: An attractive choice for breeders developing specialised colour combinations and carefully selected Coturnix bloodlines.

A Premium Addition to Your Collection

Combining distinctive colour genetics, ornamental elegance, excellent egg-laying potential and Jumbo characteristics, the Grau Fee offers exceptional appeal to breeders, collectors and backyard poultry enthusiasts.
