Scientific Name: Coturnix japonica
Colour Variety: Scarlet Fee
Size Classification: Jumbo

Discover the captivating Jumbo Scarlet Fee Coturnix Quail, a distinctive ornamental variety admired for its striking combination of warm reddish-brown, muted cinnamon, soft cream and delicately contrasting feather patterns. Its sophisticated colouration makes it a remarkable addition to any specialist Coturnix collection.

Exceptional Genetics & Colouration

The Scarlet Fee combines the rich pigmentation associated with the Scarlet colour variety and the colour-modifying effects of the Fee mutation, producing beautifully softened tones and distinctive plumage contrasts.

Developing this combination while maintaining desirable Jumbo body characteristics requires careful selective breeding, making Scarlet Fee particularly appealing to enthusiasts interested in colour genetics and specialised breeding lines.

Why Choose Our Jumbo Scarlet Fee Quails?

• Distinctive Colouration: Beautifully muted scarlet, cinnamon and cream tones with intricate feather patterning.

• Exceptional Egg Layers: Productive hens capable of laying approximately 250–300 eggs annually under optimal conditions.

• Extended Productivity: With excellent nutrition and care, hens may remain productive for approximately two years, although laying rates naturally decline with age.

• Not Feather Sexable: Scarlet Fee quails cannot be reliably sexed through plumage colour or feather patterns. Accurate sex identification requires alternative methods, such as vent sexing once sexually mature.

• Wonderful Companion Birds: Their manageable size, engaging personalities and attractive appearance make them delightful pets for poultry enthusiasts.

• Jumbo Body Conformation: Selectively bred for larger body size while maintaining their distinctive ornamental characteristics.

• Premium Breeding Potential: An attractive choice for breeders developing specialised colour combinations and carefully selected Coturnix bloodlines.

An Exceptional Addition to Your Collection

Combining distinctive colour genetics, ornamental beauty, excellent egg production and Jumbo characteristics, the Scarlet Fee is an outstanding choice for discerning breeders, collectors and backyard poultry enthusiasts.
